Grading returns: New, Like new, Used, Damaged

Every inspected unit receives one of four grades. The grade is the first thing you see in inventory and the main input to the decision of what happens next.
The four grades
- New. Sealed or with all tags attached and no sign of handling. Resell as new.
- Like new. Opened but unused: complete, clean, tags present or packaging intact. Resell as open-box.
- Used. Signs of use or wear, but functional and complete. Resell as used, or consolidate home.
- Damaged. Defective, broken, soiled or incomplete. Repair, claim, consolidate home, or dispose.
A fifth state, Missing, records a unit expected on a return order that did not arrive. It is a discrepancy, not a grade.
How the grade is used
Grades drive bulk actions in inventory: select every Like new unit of a SKU and reship them to new U.S. orders, or select every Damaged unit and build an export consolidation. The grade and the three inspection photos are stored on the unit's record and never overwritten.
